Guthrie’s Jay LeGrande – Athlete Spotlight Presented By BancFirst Guthrie

Guthrie High School Senior, Jay LeGrande, is proud to be part of such an amazing school and couldn’t be happier with the people who help make the school great. “Personally I like all of the teachers, they always have motivation to help you even when it’s not your best interest,” Jay said when asked what he loves most about his high school.

Jay plays soccer for the high school and you will catch him mostly playing the midfield position for the team. There isn’t a time that Jay can even remember when he didn’t play soccer. “I’ve been playing soccer for as long as I can remember and my mom signed me up one year and I instantly fell for the game,” said Jay. Right now Jay is currently focusing on soccer but he has ran cross country for the school in the past.

Playing the sport he loves with his amazing teammates is what Jay loves most about soccer. Being part of such a great team makes the game that much better for the senior. “I’m looking forward to playing and having a memorable time with my team,” said Jay.

In his free time you will catch Jay doing more of what he loves, playing soccer. He also enjoys hanging out with his friends and drawing.

As Jay moves through life he plans on leaving a lasting impression. “My main goal in life is to make a name for myself, I want to leave a footprint that changes lives,” Jay said.
