Harrah senior Stephanie McDonald is a center on the girls’ basketball team and expects to have a big season.

“Scoring underneath the goal will be my primary job this season. Also just want to be consistent at the free-throw line. On defense I need to make sure I block out and rebound and to handle the tough physical opposing players. I also plan on being a role model and spiritual leader for our team,” said McDonald.

As a leader McDonald plans to lead by being a role model to the younger players and show them integrity and hard work. Stephanie and her teammates also have big goals for this season.

“Our girls basketball team has enjoyed a long history of winning state titles and making it to the tournament,” said McDonald, “this year we have a new coach, who is amazing. She cares about the team and each player. So, making it in her first year would be amazing and bringing back the state title is our goal.”

McDonald is also a star on the Harrah softball team. She owns the school records for homeruns, RBI, and grand slams. Her performance as earned her a scholarship to Oklahoma Baptist.

Stephanie is a standout in the classroom with a 3.87 GPA. She is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and leads worship on the church worship team. In college she plans on majoring in education to teach and coach at the high school or college level. She also plans to get a degree in youth ministry.
