Guthrie’s Cale Coffman – Character Counts Presented by BancFirst Guthrie

Since his early days as a flag football player, Guthrie varsity football player Cale Coffman has loved the game and is the ultimate team player. Today, Coffman plays multiple positions for the Bluejays and is one of the leaders of the team.

“I have played football since I was a little kid in flag football,” said Coffman. “I play Safety, WR, RB, QB, linebacker, corner, and long snapper.”

Being part of this team is important to Coffman and he is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win. His teammates are more like family to him.

“My team means everything to me, I’d do anything for those guys,” said Coffman. “They’re family to me. Including the coaches as well.”

Not only does Coffman play football, but he is also a member of the baseball team and is involved in several clubs at school.

“I play baseball here at Guthrie High School,” said Coffman. “I am in Spanish club and National Honor Society and I plan on walking on at Oklahoma State University for football after high school.”

Being a student-athlete at Guthrie High School has taught Coffman many valuable lessons he will take to the next level. Whether that’s on the football field or in the classroom.

“The best thing about being a student-athlete at Guthrie is being apart of a family and knowing that you have a whole community behind you no matter what,” said Coffman. “I will remember playing at Jelsma on Friday nights and playing with my brothers until the end. Football has been the best at Guthrie,” Coffman said.
