Top of her junior class, Kenzie Holsted, attends El Reno High School all while also being concurrently enrolled in Redlands Community College. Kenzie is involved in basketball, tennis, and is an active member of the National Honor Society at her high school. She plays mostly wing for the basketball team, but you will occasionally see her as point guard. Kenzie started playing on a church league in the fifth grade.

“Getting close with my teammates,” Kenzie said is her favorite part of the sport and what she is also looking forward to most this basketball season. Her motivation and drive to do well each and every game Kenzie says is herself and her family.

This school year Kenzie is looking forward to enjoying her junior year to the fullest.

“I am looking forward to having new experiences and learning new things,” said Kenzie.

In her free time Kenzie enjoys art and playing tennis.

Being at the top of her class Kenzie has to make sure she stays on top of all of her school work. Kenzie does this by being diligent in class.

“Most of the time I get my work done in class, but if I don’t then I do my homework as soon as I get home from practice,” Kenzie said.

Playing such an intense team sport has taught Kenzie many things and one of those things is trust.

“Basketball has taught me to be respectful and to trust others,” Kenzie said.
