Midwest City Bombers

Coach: Dewayne Bradley

18-19 Record: 20-7

Coach Bradley returns several key components off his 20-win, state tournament team from a year ago. To say this squad is eager to take the floor would be an understatement. “Lots of scoring, rebounding and experience back from a state tournament appearance,” said coach Bradley about his 2019-20 team. “We will look to make a run. Chemistry, trusting in the process will be a key.” A pair of guards are also key this season as Christian Cook (6-2, Sr.) and Makale Smith (6-0, Jr.) look to create opportunities and take advantage of mismatches this season. Last year Cook averaged 14.5 points while shooting 43 percent from three-point land. Smith went for 14.9 points a game matching Cook. Forward Jacobi Johnson (6-4, Sr.) grabbed 101 rebounds on the season while fellow forward Elliot Janish (6-4, Sr.) averaged 4.2 points a game. Both players could see their numbers increase this season. Kevin Overton (6-4, So.) is a big guard that creates offense all on his own. Overton averaged 7.9 points a game as a freshman. Also look for Israel Hart (6-1, Jr.) at guard who could be that all important sixth man this season. Other players to watch include Marcus Hines (6-0, Jr.), Ethan Ganaway (6-3, Jr.), Clance Crosby (6-6, Jr.), Jamarion Hamilton (5-10, Fr.), Artez Young (6-0, So.) and Kwali Sampleton (6-1, Jr.). The coaching staff will consist of Jacobi Couch, Torey Noel and Jordan Rhea.
