Edmond North’s Tonya Valois – Mom of the Month Presented by Dr. Craig Kupiec, INTEGRIS Family Care Edmond East

By Ember McElrath

Tonya Valois is entering her third year of spearheading the Edmond North High School softball booster club and being their treasurer. Tonya is a very dedicated volunteer and mother.

“I have volunteered for both my children’s sports since they were little,” said Tonya.

She not only volunteers for her daughter’s varsity high school softball team, but for the Sled team, and she also plans on helping with her son’s high school sports as well; football in the fall and baseball in the spring. Tonya’s 17 year old junior daughter is the catcher for the varsity softball team and her son is 15 entering his freshman year for the high school as well.

Tonya wasn’t always just a volunteer for all of her children’s sports, she also played softball and basketball for Stillwater High School. After high school, Tonya stayed local and went on to receive her bachelor degree from Oklahoma State University. She didn’t stop there. She then went on to earn her Masters from the University of Oklahoma.

Tonya is truly dedicated to serving others as she is a licensed clinical social worker as well as the Chief Operations Officer for the Millennium Medical Services. Millennium Medical Services provides psychiatric care to the state of Oklahoma and they also provide care for the elderly, which happens to be another one of Tonya’s many passions.

Tonya is not only devoted to volunteering for her children’s sports, but she is also a devoted follower of Christ, attending her local Life Church where she continues her passion and love for all.  “I am passionate about people, Jesus, and my family,” said Tonya.

Tonya is happily married to her husband Darrell, and of course he is also very active in their two children’s sports, constantly volunteering for Edmond North High School.
