Edmond Santa Fe’s Chloe White – Character Counts Presented by INTEGRIS Health Edmond

Varsity fastpitch softball player Chloe White is a senior this year at Edmond Santa Fe and an active member in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. A seven year member of FCA, White knew joining the FCA was the right choice for her at a young age.

“FCA appealed to me because not only do I love competing in sports but I also love Christ, so joining FCA allowed me to learn how to glorify God through my sport,” said White.

White has used the opportunity as a softball player to not only represent her team and school, but to represent her faith on the field.

“One of my biggest takeaways from FCA that’s helped me in softball is remembering my jersey is my platform. I want people to see me repping not only my Santa Fe jersey but see that I’m repping Christ as well,” said White.

The team at Santa Fe is like a sisterhood. Through thick and thin, these girls stick together.

“The thing I love most about my team is that we’re all like sisters. No matter what grade we’re in or what background we come from we all come together to compete and go as hard as we can, not for ourselves but for each other,” said White.

Her plans after graduation in May of 2020 include moving to Lubbock, Texas and playing softball for Lubbock Christian University. There she plans to major in pre-med.

White offers this advice for any student-athlete considering the FCA.

“Some advice I would give to those interested in joining FCA: I remember being so scared before I first started attending FCA camp, but luckily one of my friends at school was going too so it made it a lot easier to step out of my comfort zone. So if you’re scared just bring a friend with you or reach out to someone you know that’s already in it and just talk to them. FCA really is a life changing organization and will give you memories for a lifetime, so just take a leap of faith and get involved! You won’t regret it,” said White.
