El Reno senior Morgan Holloway has been playing golf for six years now, and ever since she started it has been something she really enjoys. Her favorite thing about competing for her high school is the time she gets to spend with her teammates.

“The thing I love most is how close I am with my teammates. We all wanna always see each other do better and get better,” she said. “They mean a lot to me; some of them are my best friends. If it wasn’t for them I don’t know that I’d even play golf for my school.”

Holloway strives to be a leader on her team, saying that it is something that comes naturally to her.

“I’ve just always kind of been a natural born leader,” she said. “I guess you could say I’m kinda bossy sometimes, but I always wanna become a better athlete.”

“I didn’t ever think I’d wanna do something like that but when I went to the votech to tour I knew that’s what I wanted to do in life,” she said. “It’s just something I saw myself enjoying.

Since she decided on the cosmetology field, she has benefited greatly by being involved in her program at CV Tech.

“It’s my future job so being there everyday being able to get practice and take clients really helps a lot,” she said.

The people Holloway has met through CV Tech are what she considers one of the best things about the program.

“My favorite thing about Tech is being there with my best friends,” she said. “I’ve made very good friendships going there.”

After high school Holloway wants to attend Oklahoma State University and continue her educational journey.
